About Us

Equality South Dakota Institute is a statewide non-profit organization focused on educating the public about issues facing lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) South Dakotans.

Supporters of Equality South Dakota Institute come from all walks of life.  They are gay and straight, single and married, fathers, mothers, sister or brother and members of all faiths. They are your friends and neighbors, your co-workers and community volunteers.  They are South Dakotans who carry the basic values of fairness and equality.

Equality South Dakota Institute believes in seeking dialogue with a wide variety of decision makers, and invite them to use us as a resource in their work.  In doing so, we give a voice to families that have been silent and fearful.
